Oh....I'm sorry. We meant the seventeenth...

In spite of earlier reports, it looks like Tuesday, June 17th will be the day. THE DAY as in the day that counties will begin issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. Yeah, the seventeenth, not the sixteenth and definitely not the fourteenth (like we may have said earlier). This was confirmed by the state Office of Vital Records, in their decision today. Some same-sex couples who already have scheduled with county offices for their ceremonies on the sixteenth will now have to reschedule.

No word yet from John Tuteur, on if Napa County will also start issuing that day also.

...And I'm still hoping for an invitation to Napa's first same-sex wedding--anyone out there planning anything?

  1. BTW - I'm an ordained minister. If anyone is looking for someone to perform a ceremony, let me know. My email is napkinrick ( at) comcast.net (making all the appropriate modifications, of course.)
