Due to the quickest email and comment responses since (I think) The Valley's Other Fruit began publishing, we will stop publishing abbreviated feeds. We're sorry for any inconvenience, regret, nail biting, anxiety, hasty hair style decisions or cheesecake eating that ensued as a result of our test, and things should quickly return to normal.
But please, don't forget that the posts in all their published glory can be found best at the website, http://lgbtnapa.blogspot.com/ OR by clicking the title of any post in the feed. (If you have no idea of what I am talking about then this probably doesn't matter much to you, but if you're a nerd like that, then check this video out.
What are you missing out on if you don't go to the site? Sometimes slideshows, videos, interactive polls. Sometimes brilliant and clever formatting that brings the story to new light. Sometimes nothing.
Either way, you were heard and the feeds are back to full. Oh, but on one condition: keep up with the commenting!

WOOT WOOT! I'm glad full feed is back. Thanks TVOF!
ReplyDeleteOne reason I don't visit the blog directly (unless I want to respond) is the SLOWNESS when the Google search box is building. Don't know if it's a problem with my computer but it takes about 30 seconds before I can scroll down the page. (I know it's only 30 seconds but it's 30 seconds I'll never get back!) =;
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that the start time in Internet Explorer is almost excruciating...(I use Firefox, so hadn't noticed before). The search box does take a while, but getting rid of it doesn't really make the page faster.
ReplyDeleteIs it a big problem? I could test it without the search box for a while, or if speed is a big issue, I could work on the overall site issue to see what's up. Do you use the search box ever?
...Thanks for the comment, Rick (and your excitement, Omar).
Naw, don't worry about it.
