Come out, come out wherever you are?

In spite of Napa's food/wine/arts scene, there isn't (in my experience) many outwardly gay parts or things to do in the valley. That's what got me doing this blog. I was curious, though, about people's day-to-day lives. Being that I just came out myself to close friends and family beginning 3 years ago (better late than never, right?), I wanted to know how out are you?

    The bad thing that I now know about coming out is not the actual part of coming out, its the aftermath. Yeah it may seem that it's harder to come out to those you think that wont accept you and to those who you think you might lose but it is not necessarily a bad thing because you'll know who truly loves you for who you are. Now the bad thing is that if you are the type of gay guy who is seen as a straight one. The bad thing about it would be the fact that the new people you meet become close to you and you to them, and one day you will hit a bump just like I did and find them to be close-minded on the topic of homo- and bisexuality. It is not easy when you get attached to them at a friendship level and don't want to lose that connection on has with them but yet again it seems to be the same problem that is presented when one is coming out. But to me it just seems harder when you meet someone and get close to them because I in my experience in coming out i have lost people that I was close to. This is my short take in normality of the so-called "COMING OUT"! What is yours?

    WHY IS LIFE SO HARD! WHEN BOTH PARENTS APPROVE OF ONES SEXUALITY, BUT ONE DOES NOT APPROVE OF YOUR LIFE PARTNER, WHAT IS ONE TO DO? AND WITH SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES MY FATHER IS GAY AS WELL!
