Vindicated: 'gays' catching on

I have written about it before: my flippant use of the term 'gays' to describe any group of more than one person who identifies as homosexually oriented. Of course I had an explanation (don't I always) about why I do that (half jokingly and half on purpose and half just because), and now it seems that term is now also being used by major online publications.

Also of note, in spite of my attempt to not use the term so casually (or at least to use italics, when I do), I noticed in my search to the previous post that I use the term 'gays' all the time still. Sorry! Seriously, it is not to offend, it's mainly just a bad (no judgment here?) habit.
