Marriage equality townhall in Yountville on Thursday

More than a handful of bloggers are talking about how hard it is to keep up the momentum from the very successful marches that happened around the state and country after Prop 8 passed. Renee Fannin, the organizer behind the gathering and march in Napa in November (and other recent events) is offering us some updates and a solid next step. From the event's facebook page:

Napa County marriage equality town hall meeting

Educational, Social and community building gathering to discuss post Proposition 8 updates, what we need to do to educate, where we believe our communities are on the issue; legislative and grass roots actions and activities – and what to do next to regain civil marriage rights for all people. This will also be a chance to sign the letter to ask President Elect Obama to keep his promises to repeal DOMA and “Don’t ask don’t tell”
