Nothing sells like homophobia

Not sure what the advertising agencies or companies were thinking but check out these recent ads for Snickers and Nike which have homophobia written all into them. With these ads it seems to me they're saying, "Don't want to be a fag? Buy our product." I guess since the gay-friendly advertising had the backlash of, you know, 200 viewers, these companies thought they'd try the anti-gay route.

They are wrong on so many levels.



Shamefully sad quotes from the snickers ad include:

• "You're a disgrace to the man race!...Time to run like a REAL man!"
• "GET some nuts!"

And no, it doesn't help that Mr. T busting through the side of a house in a truck outfitted with an automatic machine gun loaded with Snickers looks kinda cool. The whole thing just sucks.
