Is it inappropriate to post about "underground" gay happenings?

A few friends have commented to me (in person, NOT on the blog) that our post about cruising at the grape crusher was inappropriate and NOT something we should be writing about on the blog.

I think they were trying to say that it's not cool to "call people out" especially about (relatively) private things like cruising (and other potentially sexual activity). I get it. I mean, even though it is published in a nationally available gay travel guide, the blog does make the information much more available (and a lot less discrete). But I really wonder how many un-gay-friendly folks are actually reading this? That's a rhetorical question, of course.

So what do you think? If this blog is about helping us connect to each other and to what is happening...and if part of the awesomeness about this blog is to help people discover new and exciting things that are often left unpublicized... When is it and what is appropriate to post?
