Should we mount a counter protest? Photo by fotogail
Anyone see the ridiculous truck with the huge billboards and bull horn condemning gay marriage and homosexuals? We've heard that it was driving around downtown Napa a few days ago... Glad I didn't see it, but I would've had a few words for it. Or at least I would have walked up to it and tried to order some tacos or ice cream in the most obvious voice and mannerisms possible. Just for fun, of course.
Other gay-marriage updates:
- A joint release/announcement came out yesterday asking gays who marry in Cali from out of state to NOT go home and sue for recognition. Joe.My.God (and the LA Times) has more info on this strategy
- No surprises: gay-marriages will bring upwards of $68 million dollars to the state in tax revenue and 2,200 new jobs. Napa's economy will be boosted as well. [NVReg]
- Del Martin and Phyllis Lyon, 83 and 87 years old and together for more than 50 years, will be the first of 128 couples already signed up to get married in SF [SFGate]
- Kern & Butte Counties to suspend all weddings (supposedly because of resource constraints) [SFGate]
