Pride planning meeting Mon, May 11; more Napa Valley Pride 2009 details

The next get-together for the Napa Valley Pride 2009 planning committee is Monday, May 11. It will be held at the Napa Valley Wine Train Station (1275 McKinstry Street in Napa) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Parade

The Napa Valley Pride 2009 Parade is scheduled (pending city review and approval) to begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 20. It will wind its way through downtown Napa, ending at Veterans Park.

Kellie “Kellie in the Morning” Fuller from 1440 KVON & 99.3 THE VINE will be the Grand Marshal.

Picnic

Following the parade, our families and friends will gather for a picnic in Veterans Park.

Pre-Party Tasting at Pride Mountain Vineyards

Located on an estate that was previously and appropriately named “Summit Ranch”, the also appropriately named Pride Mountain Vineyards will host a “Vineyard Tasting and Barrel Sampling” from 2 to 5 pm. Tickets are $15.00 and can be purchased by calling Raney at (707) 963-4949.

Twilight T-Dance at Beringer Vineyards in St. Helena

This will be the party EVERYONE will be talking about! Be there when Beringer Vineyards hosts the Twilight T-Dance – An Evening of Wine and Dancing in celebration of Gay Pride Month. After Party at Tra Vigne

Tra Vigne in St. Helena will open up their magnificent Tuscan courtyard for late-night dining following the Beringer Twilight T-Dance.

Silent Auction & Balloon Raffle

Silent auction items and balloons containing raffle prizes will be sold during the Twilight T-Dance at Beringer Vineyards. Proceeds will benefit the CARE Network at the Queen of the Valley Hospital. Here’s how you can help:

• Attend the event and bid on auction items and/or purchase raffle balloons
• Donate (or work with your employer to donate) items for the auction and raffle
• Encourage businesses you regularly visit to donate
