So a respectable group of 9 of us met up at Cuvée on Friday night (even if I was 30 minutes late due to the LGBT Mass in Berkeley going later than I had expected--sorry guys and thanks SO much for waiting!). We enjoyed some cocktails (I needed one after my rush up from Berkeley) and then headed over to catch Sex and the City at the Cinedome. I had a great time meeting new (gay) folks in town and it made me start thinking...Should we try and plan more gatherings this summer? Similar (cocktails, movie)? Something new (locals night at Oxbow)? Something crazy? Where/what would you want to meet other local gays and gay-friendly folk?

I think we ought to make a regular thing out of Locals Night at Oxbox. We grab a big table, a couple of bottles from the wine shop and hang out together for a couple of hours. A regular get together would be a great way to meet new folks who visit the blog.

ReplyDeleteI'm gonna try and go (how long you gonna be there, Rick?) but I have an appointment after work at 5...not sure how long I'll be. I might not be able to get to Oxbow until almost 7ish. :( This week, anyways. If we do make this a weekly occurrence, I'll most def show up. We could even hand out blog postcards, put up a rainbow flag... or keep it discrete. What do you all think?
