It was buried among a handful of other posts the other day, so I'm not sure how many of you caught the news: I'm talking about the gay softball tournament in Napa on Memorial Day weekend. Yeah...our beloved, closeted hometown is hosting a gay softball tournament with 900 players from 50+ teams from all around (no hometown team, obviously).
Of course, it's up to us, the local gays, to make sure our town welcomes them full force.
Additionally, The Valley's Other Fruit will be posting hometown recommendations for our visitors.
I know you all haven't been saying too much lately, but what places would you recommend to our queer, sporty guests for:
- Best spot for brunch?
- Best place for Latin flavor?
- Best bar/lounge?
- Best tourist spot that's actually worth going?
- Best winery to visit?
- Best spa or place to relax?
- Best foodie find?
- Most gay-friendly place?
- Wildcard: what else do you recommend?

Hey since Napa or Solano I believe, has no gay softball team, what about starting one up?? Any fellow locals know how to play and interested in starting a team?? I would totally be down for that.
I live in Calistoga, and there is just no fully gay place.....
ReplyDelete@anonymous: what about just gay-friendly? Check out the categories and don't limit yourself to "gay only" places...we want to show off the best of the valley, and we all know there isn't many gay places...
